GTA Vice City Vehicles: Rare Cars, Full Lists and Where to Find Them
Vice City hides its best cars at fixed spawns rather than in traffic - and two of them sit on an island you have to unlock. This page covers the fast cars and where to find them, every vehicle class, all four Sunshine Autos export lists, and the military vehicles you can only earn.
How the vehicle roster works
Vice City's traffic is split into two layers. The first is ambient traffic - ordinary sedans, vans and bikes that spawn by district, so what you see in Little Havana is not what you see in Vice Point. The second is fixed spawns: specific cars parked at specific coordinates, which is how the good cars are actually distributed.
That distinction matters when you are hunting a particular vehicle. Ambient traffic is luck; fixed spawns are reliable. Almost every car worth owning in Vice City has at least one guaranteed parked location, and those locations are listed below.
There is also a third category: reward vehicles. The Deluxo, Sabre Turbo, Sandking and Hotring Racer are not found anywhere in the city - they are handed to you for finishing the Sunshine Autos export lists.

These are the cars players actually go looking for. All locations below are fixed spawns unless marked otherwise.

Sunshine Autos: all four export lists
Buy Sunshine Autos in Little Havana and you unlock the import garage - four lists of six vehicles each, twenty-four cars in total. Deliver the right car and the garage door opens; each completed list parks a free car in the showroom and raises the asset's daily income. Lists 2, 3 and 4 are required for 100% completion.
The showroom's income rises as you complete lists: $1,500 a day after list 1, $4,000 after list 2, $6,500 after list 3 and $9,000 after list 4. Four nearby garages hold sixteen cars, which is plenty of room to stockpile the next list in advance.
List 1 - Street cars and SUVs

Special and military vehicles
A handful of vehicles cannot be bought or found in traffic at all - they are tied to mission progress, hidden package rewards or the military bases.
| Vehicle | How to get it |
|---|---|
| Rhino (tank) | 90 hidden packages, spawning at Fort Baxter Air Base |
| Hunter (attack helicopter) | 100 hidden packages plus the final story mission |
| Sea Sparrow | 80 hidden packages, behind the Vercetti Estate |
| Skimmer (seaplane) | Escobar International Airport; also used in a story mission |
| Predator (police boat) | Docked near the Viceport boatyard |
| Romero's Hearse | Funeral missions and the mortuary area |
Getting the cars you actually want
- Open Starfish Island early. Guardian Angels unlocks the single densest concentration of desirable cars in the game. It is the highest-value shortcut on this page.
- Use the Sunshine Autos garages as a holding pen. Sixteen slots sit next to the export garage. Park the next list's cars there as you find them instead of driving each one in immediately.
- Check the Pay 'n' Spray. Respraying also repairs, and it clears the wanted level. It is the fastest way to keep a freshly stolen rare car intact long enough to garage it.
- Drive a matching car to spawn traffic. The game biases ambient spawns towards the class of vehicle you are already driving, which is why a Stallion turns up in Little Haiti only when you arrive in an Idaho.
- Park rare cars in a safehouse garage. Traffic-spawned cars can be lost to a failed mission. Anything you want to keep should be in a garage before you start a mission.
Frequently asked questions
What is the fastest car in GTA Vice City?
The Infernus is the fastest car in the game, with the Cheetah close behind. Both are rear-wheel-drive supercars that spawn on Starfish Island - the Infernus in front of Ricardo Diaz's mansion and in the car park next to North Point Mall, the Cheetah on Colonel Cortez's yacht in Ocean Beach and north of Diaz's mansion.
Where can I find an Infernus in Vice City?
Three reliable spots: parked in front of Ricardo Diaz's mansion on Starfish Island, in the multi-storey car park next to North Point Mall, and inside North Point Mall itself (though that one cannot be driven out). It also spawns in traffic around Vice City Beach.
How many vehicles do you have to collect for Sunshine Autos?
Twenty-four, split into four lists of six. Completing list 1 makes Sunshine Autos a working asset, and lists 2, 3 and 4 are required for 100% completion. Each completed list also parks a free car in the showroom.
What car do you get for completing Sunshine Autos list 1?
A Deluxo, parked on the bottom floor of the showroom facing the street. The asset then generates up to $1,500 a day.
Where is the Sabre Turbo in GTA Vice City?
It is not found in traffic. Complete the second Sunshine Autos export list and a Sabre Turbo is parked on the bottom floor of the showroom, next to the Deluxo.
Where is the Hotring Racer?
Complete all four Sunshine Autos export lists. The Hotring Racer then appears on the top floor of the showroom, alongside the Sandking from list 3.
How do you get a helicopter in Vice City?
The simplest route is the Maverick that spawns on the helipad at Escobar International Airport, or the one at the Vercetti Estate. Collecting 80 hidden packages adds a Sea Sparrow behind the Vercetti Estate, and 100 packages adds the Hunter at Fort Baxter Air Base.
